Progetto "A Scuola di Natura"

 Using all 5 senses, this project develops our connection with nature. First with the grape harvest, where the children had great fun producing grape juice and then tasting it! At the Museum in Montebelluna, the children were taught how to color using the extracts from fruits and vegetables which was a very colorful project!! We didn't actually shop at EAT's supermarket, but the children were able to observe and learn about the origins of certain products.

Good afternoon!!! Today in Reception we started our day with Weekend News with Miss Helen!! 

This always makes Mondays so much fun!!! We love sharing what we did over the weekend with our classmates!!

Then after snack we worked on the seasons and talked about what fruit is in season!! We had to cut out strawberries and glue them into our workbooks!!

We are happy that strawberries are back in season because they are one of our favourites!!

Good afternoon!!Today in Reception we continued work on our Color project with Miss Paola! We read about Nonno Carbone!!

He has everything Black! We drew a picture about him and his black hat!!

Then we learned the letter P!! Not only is it Miss Paola's first letter it but it is the start of many words!!!

Good afternoon!!  Today in Reception we learned the letter V in Letterland with Miss Helen! We love Letterland!! 

Then we got to play with some fun puzzles!!

We then had Music with Miss Elena!! After practising some songs we had a nice relaxing moment laying down and listening to some soft music.Some of us almost fell asleep.

After lunch we worked on our Memory Book and drew a picture of our Daddy!

Good afternoon!! Today we went in git to Eat's Supermarket!! It was really fun!!! There was so much to see!! First we saw the produce area where they explained and showed us all the exotic fruit!! We even got to see what fruit is in season right now!! There were so many different smells and colors!!

Then we went to the Fish counter where Matteo answered our questions about the different fish present!! There were so many kinds!! We saw little crabs that kept trying to escape, a monk fish with a very scary mouth and Matteo even opened an oyster for us so we could see if there was a pearl inside! (there wasn't). 

Then we got to try there pizzettas!! They were very good!! 

After we went up stairs to the Bistro where we got to see an old bread machine! It can make up to 10 KG of bread!! It was so big!!

Then we went on a tour through the whole super market where we saw some exciting things! We even learned what Bio means!!

At the end of our visit they surprised us with a small treat! We will show it to you when you come and get us today!!!

Good afternoon!! Today in Reception we continued working on our Color project with Miss Paola where we read about Peppita and the color yellow!! 

Then after break we learned a new letter, the letter N!! As usual we had to copy the letter many times!

Then together with Miss Paola we came up with all the words that begin with N!! So Many!!

Then we had to pick our favorites and draw them!! There was a lot of Nutella!!!!!!

Good afternoon!! Today in Reception we started our day with Weekend News with Miss Helen!! This is always fun to hear about what everyone did over the weekend!!

There were some pretty interesting things!!

After break we worked in our Cambridge Science books and learned about movement!!

After lunch we are going to learn a new Number with Miss Paola!!! We can't wait!!
