Welcome back and Happy Halloween!!! We hope everyone was safe these last few days!

Today in Reception we are celebrating Halloween! Everyone came dressed up as something spooky! We started the day doing Letter Land with Miss Helen!

We worked on the letter "E"! It was funny to see everyone in their costumes sitting at the table doing school work!

We had some witches, bats, goblins, pumpkins, vampires and even the Mad Hatter! After working in Letter Land we had a fun party with lots of treats so we didn't have to do any tricking!!!!

Good afternoon! Today in Nursery and Reception Miss Lindsay and Miss Paola prepared a surprise for us! We got to learn about the Halloween tradition of th Jack-o-lantern!

Miss Lindsay showed us the outside and the inside of the pumpkin.

Then she drew a face on the pumpkin.

Next she cut out the eyes, nose and mouth!

Last she put a light in it so we could see how it would look with a candle in it at night! Did you know that Jack-o-lanterns were used to help protct people from the bad spirits??

Next we got to feel the inside of the pumpkins with the seeds still inside.

It felt slimy, wet and cold! It was a lot of fun, now won't you carve one with us this weekend???

Miss Paola then asked us to draw a picture of a pumpkin! We had to draw it with orange and then add a face!

Good afternoon! Today in Reception we worked in Letterland with Miss Helen.We were introduced to Dippy duck and the letter "D". We talked about what words start with that letter and we learned how to write it! It is a lot of fun learning how to write!

Then in our second hour, we had Music with Miss Elena and Nursery. We learned about rhythm and used sticks and bells to make music.

Good afternoon! Today in Reception we worked on our Pre grafismo! We had to copy and draw slanted lines wiht Miss Paola.

Then we went to the gym to do some fun games and activities such as freeze tage and music tag. We could dance when the music was on but then we had to freeze when it was turned off!

Good afternoon! Today in Reception we started our day with some Welcome songs!

We did this together with Nursery.

Then we did our Weekend News with Miss Helen. We drew a picture of what we did during the weekend and then told everyone about it!

Later we did some work on Science and talked about pumpkins and cut one out!

Good afternoon!! We have been busy in Reception! Miss Helen had us start a Halloween craft!

Here we are punching the holes to make arms for some scary ghosts!!! Booooooo

Then with Miss Paola we worked on Pre-grafismo, tracing slanted lines.

Then we had to draw them ourselves!

After we played a fun game og animal bingo!!!

Good afternoon!! Today in Reception we had our first lesson with the new Music teacher Miss Elena!!

Together with Miss Helen and Nursery we had a lot of fun dancing and singing!! We learned new songs that were very entertaining!

Good afternoon!!! Today in Reception Miss Paola read us a story about a forrest and the chestnut burrs.

Then we had to draw a picture of the story. Some of us drew trees, some chestnut burrs (ricci) and some the people of the story.

Buon pomeriggio! Oggi i bambini, per preparasi all'imminente festa di halloween, insieme alla Prof.ssa Stephanie hanno colorato un puzzle con l'immagine di una streghetta.

Poi hanno ritagliato i vari pezzi e .......

.......cercato di incollarli su un foglio ricomponendo l'intera immagine.

Poi con Miss Paola hanno fatto il laboratorio logico-matematico e lavorato sul confronto di grandezze. Prima hanno colorato 4 matite di altezze diverse, ..........

.......... poi le hanno ritagliate e ........

........ infine incollate nel loro quaderno in ordine crescente di altezza.

Buon pomeriggio! Oggi i bambini hanno cominciato la giornata ballando e cantando delle simpatiche canzoncine di saluto in inglese.

Poi con Miss Helen hanno raccontato e rappresentato graficamente il loro weekend.

Nel pomeriggio con Prof. Stephanie hanno letto una storia e ..........

.......convesato in inglese.

Buon pomeriggio! Questa mattina con Miss Paola i bambini hanno fatto il laboratorio logico-matematico e lavorato sul confronto di grandezze. Prima hanno colorato le zucche di grandezza diversa. 

Qualcuno ha scelto di colorale arancioni,  qualche altro verdi.

Le hanno poi tagliate.......

.......e incollate nel loro quaderno in ordine decrescente.

Con Prof.ssa Stephanie hanno poi letto la storia di "Pinocchio" e conversato in inglese.

Buon pomeriggio! Questa mattina i bambini hanno fatto la lettera "b" di letterland con Miss Helen.

Nel pomeriggio insieme al Prof. Luca Truccolo hanno svolto il laboratorio artistico creando delle farfalline colorate con la forma delle loro manine e........

.......con tanta fantasia e immaginazione! Bravi i nostri piccoli artisti!!!

First she read a story to us about a monster with out spots.

Then we had to color and draw the spots in our workbook. It was hard but fun.
