Good afternoon!!! Today in Reception we worked on Science with Miss Helen!

We focused on the winter season and what that means! We talked about what fruits and vegetables are part of this season and what the weather is like! One of our favourites is in season, Mandarin Oranges!!! So we cut one out and glued it into our work books.

Then we had to color and trace a worksheet about what winter is!

The best part of winter is the SNOW!!!!

Good afternoon!! Today in Reception we had some fun sponge painting with Miss Paola.

We took paper dollies and sponge painted over them.

Miss Paola said we will be using these to make Carnival masks!

We still have a few more layers of paint to do !!

Then we played a game using the SIGLA cards.!!

It is always such a fun time guessing the words!!!

Good afternoon!!!!  Today in Reception we started our day off talking about our Giotto project! 

We continued our discussion on the harmony of the water cycle and started to design our poster!

Miss Paola and Miss Lindsay had some really fun materials for us to use. Below is just an idea of how it will come out!! We can't wait to present our poster!!

Then after break we worked with Miss Paola on the letter O! We had to trace the letter and then write it on our own!

Then we had to draw pictures of things that begin with the letter O!

Miss Paola helped us to write the words!!

Good afternoon!!! Today in Reception we worked on Science with Miss Helen!  We talked about what are the good foods to eat and what are the bad foods to avoid. We worked in our Cambridge books.

And then on a seperate worksheet we had to draw the good foods!!

Good afternoon!!!! Today in Reception we worked with Miss Paola on our Letters and Numbers!

We learned how to write the number 2!!! First we had to trace it, than we had to write it on our own!!

After snack time we learned the letter I!! First we had to trace it, then write it!

Then we named as many words as we could think of that started with the letter I and then we had to draw a picture of them!!!

Good afternoon!!! Today in Reception we started our day off with Miss Helen and talked about our Weekend News!!! We each shared what we did over the weekend and then we had to draw a picture showing what we did!

We did lots of interesting things!! Then after the break we started to learn our parts for the play!!! It is going to be so good!!

Then we got to see the result of our science experiment from Friday!! The pine cone was frozen in the glass! So our liquid water became solid ice and was so hard!!!

Good afternoon!! Today we started a really interesting project with Miss Paola and Miss Lindsay!! We are going to take part in contest that is put on by Giotto where our class could win so many fun art supplies!! To take part we create a big poster that talks about Harmony in any area we want! So we have decided to talk about Harmony in nature with the water cycle. We started our morning learning about what the water cycle is and why it is important! Miss Paola explained it to us, then Miss Lindsay read us a story in English about it!

We learned about the important parts such as rain, vapour, clouds, the sun and snow!

Then we started a science experiment! We put a pine cone in a cup filled with water and we put it in the freezer, now  we have to wait to see what is going to happen!

Then Miss Paola gave us a worksheet that showed the water cycle which we had to color!!

We had to make sure to color it realistically!! Blue water, green trees, yellow sun and grey clouds!! Make sure to ask us about how the water cycle works!!!

Good afternoon!!! Today was a very special day!! The Mayor of Conegliano came to visit us!

It was so much fun!! He asked us questions and gave us each a sweet!!

Then after his visit we learned about the letter N with Miss Helen!!

Good afternoon!!! Today in Reception we worked in our Cambridge Science books with Miss Helen!

We talked about the different places you can find certain animals!

Then Miss Helen gave us a worksheet where we had to match animals to their correct habitat and then color them.

It was really fun learning about the animals!

Good afternoon!!! Today in Reception we started the day learning about the letter E with Miss Paola!

We had to trace the word Erba and then trace the letters! After we had to write the letter ourselves!!! It wasn't very easy, we had to make sure to make the correct amount of space!

Then we talked about all the words that begin with E! Then we each had to pick one word and draw a picture!!! There are so many things that being with E!! After lunch we had Gym with Miss Michela!! We love Gym day!!!

Good afternoon!!! Today in Reception we started the day with Miss Helen working on Weekend News!!! We first had a talk about what we did over the weekend then we had to draw a picture representing what we did!

We did many different things! Some of us went out to eat while others to parties!

Then in the afternoon we worked with Miss Paola on our Pre-grafismo with different geometric shapes and color rhythms! It was very hard!!!

11 Janurary2019

Good afternoon!!! Today in Reception we started working on our Italian alphabet with Miss Paola! Of course we started with the letter A. We had to copy the letter and then try to write it on our own. It was not easy!

Then after with Miss Paola, we came up with all the words we could think of that start with A. There are so many like aria, arcobaleno, ape, armadillo, armadio, agelo, arco......etc.

Then we had to draw pictures using some of these A words. Some of us chose Rainbows and others bees. some even chose Ariel from The Little Mermaid!!

Oh and don't forget, Tomorrow is Open Day here at Pianca School. Everyone is welcome to come between 15:30 and 17:30! Make sure to spread the word!!!

Good afternoon!! Today in Reception we had music with Maestra Elena.We sang so many fun songs and practised rhythm and the music scales.

We even did some dancing that went with the beat of the music. We really enjoy music time and it is so hard to pick our favorite song!!

Good afternoon!!! Today in Reception we worked in Cambridge English workbooks with Miss Helen.

We learned about different environments and about the different plants and animals who live in them.

Then we went out side to see first hand some of the things we talked about.

Then during snack time we celebrated Antonia's birthday with a really cool Unicorn cake that she brought for us! It was so good. When we were finished we went to the Art Room with Miss Helen and we had to draw pictures about living environments.

Things like trees and plants and all the animals!! There are lots of different parts in every environment!
