Good afternoon!! Today in Reception we read a story with Miss Lindsay. It was called "The Mouse that Cancelled Christmas". It was a funny book about a mouse who though Christmas was dangerous and didn't want anyone to celebrate it!

After the story, Miss Lindsay asked us to draw a picture about the story.

Some of us drew the animals from the book setting up Christmas trees.

Others drew snowmen and the animals having fun!!

One of even drew the giant snow ball that all the animals found themselves in!

Good afternoon!!! Today in Reception we started the day off with a practise for or concert on the stage with Miss Paola and then Miss Helen!! After we went into the art room to start working on our Christmas art project!!!

We had Styrofoam rectangles and had to paint them blue!!!

We used sponges to cover them evenly with the paint!!

Then we painted different wooden ornaments in white, silver and gold!!! It was so fun wearing the aprons!!

Then, after lunch, we worked with Miss Paola doing some pre-grafismo!

We had to follow the dotted lines to create a great picture and then color it in!!!

Good afternoon!! Today in Reception we started our day off with Miss Paola reading us a beautiful story that Antonia brought!

It was about a bull and after we had to draw pictures of the animals from the story!

Most of us chose to draw the brown bull!

Then we did some pre-grafismo where we had to follow the dotted line to create shapes.

And to connect objects!

Once we were done we could play with the puzzles!

They were a lot of fun but also a bit hard!! We can't wait to put them together again!

Good afternoon! Today in Reception we had an exciting visitor...... Saint Nicholas!!!!

He brought each one of us a sweet surprise.

While we were waiting for him, all very anxiously, we did Corners together with Nursery. 

Corners is always fun because we get to play with different types of toys and we have to pay attention to how many spots there are at each station!

Good afternoon!! Today in Reception we started the day off learning about number 6 with Miss Helen!! We had to write the number and color 6 objects in our note book!

Then after snack we talked about Saint Nicholas with Miss Lindsay and Miss Helen! We each said what we hoped Saint Nicholas would bring us. To make sure Saint Nicholas doesn't get to worn out on his travels we made him bread! Miss Lindsay showed us the ingredients and explained to us what they do. Then she showed us how to mix it all together!

When the bread dough was all mixed and ready we were each given a piece to shape in to a perfect bun.

It was not that easy because it couldn't be a ball,

but it couldn't be flat either. It had to be round on one side and flat on the other!

Then we sent them down to the kitchen to be baked! After, when they were ready, Miss Paola and Miss Lindsay had us color a picture of Saint Nicholas and they wrapped up the bread for us to take home! It was a really great day! and now we just have to wait for Saint Nicholas!!!!!

Good afternoon!! Today in Reception we worked on Pre-grafismo with Miss Paola! We had to draw the two different geometric shapes to help us practise our spacial awareness.

Then we had to color them to practise patterns, coloring every other one.

Next we worked on sizes and to learn about the difference between big, medium and small.

First we had to color the trees and then we had to cut them out.

Then we had to place them in order from smallest to biggest! It was quite job!

Good afternoon and welcome to December!!! Today in Reception we worked on Weekend News with Miss Helen. We made sure to tell her everything we did over the past two days. Then in the afternoon we worked on Pre-grafismo with Miss Paola.

We had to follow the path from the chicken to the egg and then from the mouse to the cheese!

Our last page was to follow the dotted line to make waves! Miss Paola said we were really good!
